Nine of the patients noted subjective improvement in airflow on both sides, with the remaining patient noting improvement on one side and no change in the opposite side, Dr. Dutton said.

“The intranasal Z-plasty appears to be efficacious for nasal valve obstruction and a safe, effective, and less invasive technique to repair nasal valve collapse,” he concluded.
