- Philips Respironics has recalled a second set of CPAP/BiPAP machines, identified as a Class I recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The 1,088 recalled DreamStation1 units, distributed between Dec. 1, 2021, and Oct. 31, 2022, were assigned incorrect or duplicate serial numbers during their initial programming. This duplication can cause therapy to be delivered using the wrong prescription or factory default settings, or therapy may not be delivered at all. There are currently no reported injuries or deaths. For questions and support, contact Philips Respironics at 800-345-6443 (prompts 4, 5) or respironics.clinical@philips.com.
